For Hui ink sticks, check ink density, surface finish, pattern engraving depth, and drying time. For inkstones, inspect stone grain, carving detail, flatness, and polishing quality. For calligraphy brushes, verify hair resilience, tip shape, handle straightness, and ferrule tightness.
